We interviewed several law firms and selected David and his firm. We could not be happier. Extremely knowledgeable and very responsive. We are thrilled with David and his expertise. We would recommend him to anyone seeking counsel.

David and his firm have been representing me in a malpractice claim, and I could not be more pleased with their personal dedication to my case. Any time I have a question they respond immediately. They have also consistently kept me informed on the status of my case so I always know where things stand. Thank you, David. Your expertise is greatly appreciated.
Michael R.
Chris was very knowledgeable and helpful with details about our case.

I cannot express enough appreciation about DRS Law. A friend of us referred us to Christopher Smith after long months of searching, disappointments, and despair. After listening to our case Christopher immediately reassured us and took our concerns to heart. He went above and beyond and obtained all the information that was needed for our case. Chris treated us with great respect and compassion, he was quick to respond to our questions and we were grateful for his help and support, and most importantly for the outcome. We will not hesitate to reach out to him for any future legal assistance.
Rachel B.
Excellent firm, caring people. They took on my challenging case and got me a great result.
Daniel L.
We recently used DRS law firm in a malpractice case for our child! David and Catherine were very helpful every step of the way! They will go above and beyond for you! They treat you as if you are family! They always had our boy and his future at their best interest. It was never about them it was always about our boy! We are beyond thankful for them! My husband, father, and myself called several lawyers and were told several times it wasn’t worth pursuing the case. When I spoke with Catherine and David there was NEVER a doubt in their mind we had a good solid case! Thankful we found them and if we are ever in a situation where we need them again we would use them a thousand times over! We can’t thank you enough Catherine and David!
Kayla C.

I would like to commend David Anthony Smith for his prompt attention to my request for information. He was very courteous and showed concern for my situation, and at the same time was very honest and forthcoming with his advice. He helped me make what I believe to be the best decision and in giving me peace of mind.

DRS Law’s focus on client experience puts them in a tier of their own. Their guided experience and legal expertise is showcased across their digital presence and initial conversations.
Daniel S.
I can’t say enough good things about David and Chris Smith and Lyon Chadwick at DRS Law! They listen, they are responsive, and they are effective! I worked most closely with Chris Smith, who was always straightforward when advising me on my case and kept my expectations grounded. Highly recommend!
Shelley F.
Mr Smith handle a case for my son when he lost his young wife in an auto accident caused by a negligent truck driver. Mr Smith is the best attorney I have ever met. He did so much to help my son personally and financially.
Linda R.
David was professional and provided timely responses. He walked me through the entire process and I always knew what to expect. Would recommend to anyone who needs attorney assistance.
Deb A.
I highly recommend DRS Lawfirm. Dominick and his team helped my family and I during a very difficult time. They showed compassion, and professionalism. They are very knowledgeable, and dedicated.
Jessica D.
They were right on top of things from the moment they took our case. They took care of business from day 1. Very professional, very kind, very helpful. After we meet David Anthony Smith, we felt we were in good hands, and we were in good hands. We will highly recommend this firm to our friends, family, or anybody.
Wendy M.
First of all, I wanna thank David and the whole team for being so professional and thorough during the whole process, everything was explained from the get go and not only was I in a different state, but a different country and it wasn't an issue, I would constantly get follow up calls and even though it was a long process it felt like they were allways besides me. I would highly recommend them.
Eduardo M.
David Smith, Lyon and Katherine did an amazing job handling a case for my cousin. They were all so kind and caring. They know how to get the best results for their client. You can feel very confidant with their knowledge. David Randolph Smith Law office is an amazing law firm. I would highly recommend DRS Law.
B&S M.
The David Randolph Smith & Associates law firm has been in existence since 1993. The firm’s experience is reflected by professionalism and sincere concern for their clients. David A. Smith represented our case with compassion and understanding. He made a difficult situation easier by patiently answering questions and offering his expertise throughout the process. Thank you, David.
Sharon D.
David was great to work with and kept me informed through the process either by email or telephone. He provided his personal contact info for any questions I had and almost always answered or returned my calls promptly. David always came across as caring and compassionate for what we were going through and facilitated the process to ease our stress. David was very knowledgeable and explained everything in Layman’s terms. I would highly recommend his office for Commercial Trucking insurance claims.
Sarette A.
Absolutely recommend!! Lyon Chadwick was very honest, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Excellent timely communication! Truly put my mind at ease knowing he was in charge and produced happy results. He will be my first call if ever needed in the future.

Dennis W.
I offer my very highest recommendation for the David Randolph Smith and Associates law firm. They are dedicated professionals who represented me in a difficult case that other firms were reluctant to touch. I had a most satisfactory conclusion due to their efforts. David was extremely well versed in the area of law concerning my case, and provided expert guidance at several key junctions where I had to make an important decision. Catherine reviewed my records very thoroughly and uncovered considerable evidence and information that that was buried deep in the details. She kept me up-to-date and informed on the latest developments, and I always felt comfortable reaching out to the firm through her whenever I had a question. My interactions with Lyon and Dominick were very productive, too. These people are all highly skilled, focused professionals, and are a pleasure to work with. I am so glad they represented me in my case.
Chad H.
I am truly thankful for this law firm. Chris Smith was my Atty & I would highly recommend him. Everyone in their office was helpful to me & we won!
Kristi C.
Thank you Chris Smith, you were very professional and efficient. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Kristen T.
With having dealt with shady lawyers in the past, I'm always very skeptical of who i am entrusting with my case in whatever it may be. David Anthony Smith was beyond what you can ask for in an attorney. Constant reminders, updates, and information being provided daily. He repeated and elaborated on everything so often i became comfortable not asking questions. I'd recommend this lawfirm before I'd recommend Johnnie Cochran.
Jacob T.
In appreciation to the Law office of David Randolph Smith Mr. Lyon Chadwick, And Mrs. Racheal Thomas Thru what was an absolute nightmare of an ordeal, I was finally blessed with the very best legal team a man could ever want or desire. I can’t even begin to express my overwhelming gratitude and sincere appreciation to my entire legal team. I could have never accomplished the end result without the expert experience that all of you brought to the table on a daily base! You are all of the very best at what you do, and the end results gave me the justice and satisfaction I so desperately needed. And it also gave me back my health and independence! On a scale to 1 and 10, I would give you give you a 12!! All over the world lawyers gets a real bad wrap for being money hungry, dishonest and in compassionate towards their clients, and that has never been the case with this Elite team!!! Thank you Lyon Chadwick, David Smith and Racheal Thomas! I will be recommending all of you for years to come! God bless all of you from the bottom of my heart! Yours truly Darrell heard June 8, 2020

There really no words to adequately describe how thankful we are for Lyon and the others at this law firm. The events that led us to reach out to your firm were one the worst times in our lives. My husband’s illness and long recovery were something that we were not sure we would ever come back from. Thanks to the hard work, knowledge and dedication that you guys have put forth on our behalf we have been awarded a settlement that will ensure we have a secure financial future. We have never needed an attorney before now and hope that we will not need one again but if the need ever arises for us we will definitely reach out to you again. You guys are the best!
Lo H.
After talking to Attorney Chris Smith I would say that he was really amazing! He made me feel very comfortable and provided me some guidelines to follow on a potential case that I may have.. whether this is a case or not I was please with the service that was provided! Thank you for the assistance!
Giana B.
I couldn’t have asked for better representation. David Randlolph Smith and Associates (drs@drslawfirm.com) never gave up when things did not look like they were going our way. Their attention to detail and their vast experience made all the difference in the outcome of my settlement. They really cared about my health and spent the time to learn about the very rare and complex situation I was in due to mistakes made by the hospital. They went where others were afraid to go with my case.
Alan D.
Took the time to talk to me to hear me and even gave me great service.... david thank you
Heidi G.
Amazing law office. They got me the settlement of my dreams, were available at all times, and were more than pleasant to work with. I recommend Chris Smith to everyone I know. He is criminally underrated.
Liban H.
Chris was an incredible resource for me as I initiated a fight regarding the ADA/civil rights with a public university that seemed (at the time) insurmountable. With my personal goal in mind, the DRS firm was willing to do whatever it took to ensure a favorable outcome--notwithstanding financial sacrifice. After a 1.5 year-long fight and lawsuit, we succeeded in attaining our (my) end goal of returning to school. I encourage anyone pursuing legal counsel to reach out to the DRS law firm. Chris, and the entire firm, are as good as it gets with regard to legal team leaders/advocates. I couldn't offer a larger "stamp of approval" if I tried. Highly recommended.
Blake P.
I had an amazing experience with this firm. I mainly spoke/worked with Chris Smith. they took on my case with a denial of entry/refusal of service/access denied because of my having my service dog with while trying to eat lunch. Chris even came out to my parents house in Murfreesboro, Tn because I was to shook up & sleep deprived to drive to Nashville. Chris responded to every email or call in an appropriate amount of time. They were able to get the case settled without having to go to court, which I wanted to avoid seeing these people ever again if possible.
Ginny O.
this is a wonderful law firm, they kept me in the loop every step of the way and made me feel like family. I would highly recommend!
David S.
Chris and the rest of the guys at the firm did an amazing job handling my case and making me feel like I was heard and important. Very professional and very hard working guys that I would suggest to anyone!
Teresa S.
I am very thankful to David, Lyon, Chris and all professionals who represent this firm. This team made an incredibly difficult situation end successfully. The intellect combined with compassion of these people is incredible. Our concerns were quickly and appropriately responded to, with knowledge and compassion. I am not an attorney nor do I work in any legal capacity, but I was always left with a good understanding of the process and took comfort in our lengthy conversations. Law suits are very scary situations, but they never stopped communicating until I felt comfortable with the process. David and especially Lyon demonstrated a true compassion for my family and have remained committed to our well being, even after the case was settled. David and Lyon really were committed to not only a positive outcome for us, they clearly were interested in improving circumstance and situations to prevent others from needing to hire them. David continues to respond to any of my questions and concerns and has clearly demonstrated to us that he is committed to ethical practice and prides himself on improving situations for all involved.
Kristina B.
It was a wonderful experience. Everyone we dealt with was attentive and responsive. They always set realistic expectations and even surpassed them. We are very happy we decided to use Smith and Associates. We highly recommend them.
Whitney G.
DRS Law Personal Injury Lawyers are the real deal. David Senior, his three sons and wife Catherine are top in the field of personal injury representation. Their unparalleled experience and expertise combined with compassion and care is truly a rare combination.
Annie R.
David and Catherine Smith are absolutely amazing at what they do, easy to work with and very thorough. They are very knowledgeable in their profession and can accomplish the un-accomplishable. I had searched high and low for help with my case, being turned down by some of the very well-known Attorneys in Nashville but they saw something in my case like I did and fought with me and for me. Thank you so much for your wealth of knowledge and for your team’s support throughout the case. I would recommend DRS Law to anyone who needs an upright Attorney.
Amber J.
Good experience, knowledgable attorneys, charming badinage
Kyle S.
You will not find better personal injury lawyers anywhere. The expertise of DRS attorneys is unsurpassable. I am a litigation attorney in Nashville, and I know the firm very well. I have also co-counseled several cases with DRS Law attorney Chris Smith. Trust me, you are in great hands with anyone at DRS Law. But you do not have to take it from me. The widely-known, long-standing record of achievement by DRS Law attorneys speaks for itself.
Davis G.
A+ AND two thumbs up! Excellent job on my medical malpractice case, got it done tremendously fast and got a lot more compensation than I expected. Communication with me was also superb. I highly recommend this law office! David Anthony Smith is great! Thank you David!

Connie W.
Helped us get started on our case with our son. They had to include another attorney from our state. They found one that was able to get a great outcome. I feel that what they started with us helped out termindusly.
Chris M.
I can't express enough how grateful I am to the team at DRS Law for their outstanding work on my case. David, in particular, was exceptional. His passion for my case was clear from the start, and what truly stood out was how much he cared about me as an individual, not just a client. He kept me in the loop every step of the way, ensuring I was never left guessing about the next step. Although, the entire team at the firm was equally impressive. They were prompt, efficient, and effective, making what could have been a veryyyy stressful process as seamless as possible. Definitely recommend and if I ever needed to, I would definitely do business with them all over again!!
Desiree S.
Following the Upchurch case. And just saw he filed a motion for continuance. To complete disposition. Yall should really object to this extension. If he didnt spend so much time crying and whining about other grown men on Instagram he wouldn't need to file extentions.
Ryan R.
Hey my Fiancee has been using this law firm for 3 whole years now and they've been so excellent with Communication & Work Ethic regarding his case. & Even after his case they've still been an helping hand, assisting on anything he needs. I say they're the best Personal Injury Lawyers in Tennessee... Specifically Mr. Christopher Smith at DRS Law he's the Best. Even my son loves him lol. Thanks again DRS Law🙏🏽
Sosa M.
I had an unusual smaller case that this team graciously took on when no one else would. It ended well and I appreciated this firm. They will go above and beyond to win your case, large or small.
Susan
Great experience with DRS Law. They took our case last minute but Chris took it to heart and got us all the answers we desperately needed. Great people!
Rachel B.
I reached out and spoke to Catherine about a potential lawsuit. She knew, early in the conversation, that they were not going to be able to assist us on our case. However, she was happy to continue discussing the issue with me for quite a while, guiding me in the right direction. I would highly suggest that you check them out, first, if you find yourself in need of the services they provide. I know I will!
Tracy E.
Dominick Smith has advised me on a number of legal issues and always make sure that all of my questions are answered and all of my concerns are addressed. Incredibly knowledgeable and professional, everyone on the team is a great communicator and provides regular and detailed updates throughout the process. Highly recommend!
Roddy S.
This law firm is great. We had the pleasure of working with Chris and he was always available whether by phone or email. Thank you for all you all did.
Jo D.
David listened to the details of my horrible experience and was knowledgeable and honest about the best route for me to take . He took the time to call me back and make sure I was on the right path even though their firm didn’t specialize in my particular case . I’d recommend anyone to call them. That level of consideration and professionalism is rare .
Lorena L.
Easy…and good people… these guys did all the work to make me whole again financially after my car accident and medical bills. I only heard from them when they needed a statement or some simple documents. Even then, they walked me through the process, were very calm/cool, never added any stress or work to my days, and got me a positive outcome I wasn’t expecting. They made sure the insurance companies were held to their word. Without this family, I would have been left holding a lot of bills I didn’t deserve. 100% would recommend… and have
Michael K.
We engaged DRS Law after getting into a car accident, and they were fantastic to work with from start to finish. I recommend working with them and will absolutely use them again.
Richard H.
I could not recommend this law firm more. They made the whole process seamless in a situation that seemed hopeless. Chris was great to work with. He went above and beyond for me and my wife and answered all our questions and concerns. No need to look any further, DRS law firm is the way to go.
Dan B.
Always does a great job breaking things down into simple terms I can understand and know I am in good hands.
Travis C.
very communicative and easy to work with from start to finish!
Bill C.
No one wants to be in a situation where they need a lawyer, but I’m so grateful I found David A. Smith after my car accident. At first, I tried handling the insurance claim on my own but quickly realized they didn’t have my best interests in mind. Once I hired David, everything changed. He genuinely cared about me and prioritized my recovery. Along the way, he kept me informed of every step and made sure I was treated fairly. Thanks to his professionalism, compassion, and persistence, the insurance company quickly increased their offer, and David secured a fair settlement that truly reflected what I went through. I hope to never need a lawyer again, but if I do, David will be my first call.
Zachary L.
Christopher Smith really cared about my case and my best interest he has been there the whole time and always easy to contact. highly recommend!
Alyssia M.
We reached out to several attorneys, and DRS was the only one to respond quickly. They worked through our case in a timely manner with attention to detail. The process was simple and easy. Chris Smith brought experience and insights to our case that helped reach results beyond our expectations. Thank you, DRS.
Ben B.
They were very prompt, responsive, and patient. I had a fairly small B&I case from an auto accident while traveling in GA (though I was based in TN) and they were able to handle the case no problem. I was very happy with the work they did to negotiate a settlement with the at fault party's insurance. Highly recommend!
Jessica G.
Everyone I’ve interacted with at this firm has been incredibly professional, kind, and attentive. You can tell they genuinely care about people and operate with a high level of integrity.
Matt C.
DRS Law has been active in Nashville for MANY years and I know them very well. Each Attorney has a vast wealth of knowledge regarding personal injury law and each has tremendous acumen about the law in general. They also provide an amount of personal service that is not seen in many businesses today. They really care about all their clients and represent them to the best of their ability. They are truly one of the best firms in Nashville.
Charles N.
I am incredibly grateful to DRS Law Personal Injury Lawyers for their outstanding service. Dominique and his team resolved my false imprisonment case in just 2 years, which is remarkably fast for a lawsuit. Dom provided exceptional personalized attention, going out of his way to explain every detail of the legal process to me. He even called after hours to break down the legal jargon, making sure I fully understood everything. Their dedication, friendliness, and personalized care made a huge difference. I highly recommend DRS Law and Dom for their exceptional work!
Clay A.
Had a very great lawyer with this firm and got us more than expected on our lawsuit
Cody D.
Great communication; caring and professional. Highly recommended!

I can’t even began to express how much this family who practice law, worked together to get me the best results they could. Thank you for everything.
Jason H.
Overall, DRS Law was very crucial in the winning of my case. Using their professional experience, they very honest about the expectations of my case and gave unbiased legal guidance that helped me decide how to move forward. Something that stood out to me is how DRS always let me know that the ball was in my court for my case no matter what suggestions they proposed. I’d definitely recommend DRS Law to anyone looking for a law firm to represent them. 5/5.
Nicholas C.

David at DRS Law Firm did an outstanding job taking care of me and my family. From start to finish, he went above and beyond all measures to make sure we felt informed, protected, and supported. He was professional, responsive, and truly showed that he cared about our situation with a wrongful death case.
Omari B.
10/10 I recommend. They got the job done

Believe the hype. Pick DRS Law. 2 years ago, after a catastrophic accident at work that left me with an awful facial scar, I called probably 15 attorneys. Every single one of them turned my case down. I had almost given up until I got ahold of Catherine at DRS. She actually gave a shit about what happened to me, which was a total 180 from the scripted BS I got elsewhere. She hooked me up with David A. Smith and—bam! What I thought was a hopeless case against a government entity was a walk in the park for him. Most of these high-profile firms are just "settlement mills" that run the second things get complicated, but David is a different breed. He’s a total shark in the room but treats you with genuine respect outside of it. He was easy to talk to, very understanding, and stayed on top of every detail. If he didn’t answer my call, he returned it promptly. I never felt like just another file number on a desk. Ultimately, I got exactly the result I was looking for. My life is changing in a massive, dramatic way because I made that call, and it’s still surreal. Since it's a family firm, the communication was seamless—if David was tied up, his brother stepped in without missing a beat. Theres just not enough nice things I could say about everyone at this firm. Don’t waste your time with the guys on the billboards, call DRS Law. 💯 Thanks again, David!!

What do you think of an attorney who takes a case that multiple law firms rejected, travels 2,000 miles to personally validate its merits, and then convinces a federal jury to award an $18 million judgment? To us, that's nothing short of extraordinary. This landmark verdict not only held the defendant accountable, but it also brought an end to the online defamation of our family. After the tragic death of our granddaughter, that peace is priceless. Chris Smith and his brothers, Dominick and David, guided us through the federal court system with compassion, intelligence, and determination. During the most vulnerable time in our lives, we entrusted them with our family's story. They treated us with kindness, respect, and care every step of the way. We are grateful to DRS Law for everything they have done for our family. Their dedication gave us justice, and allowed us to grieve our terrible loss and begin to move forward. — The Family of Kiely Rodni
Cassundra S.
DRS has been amazing to work with. Their team is professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. They communicate clearly, follow through on what they promise, and make the entire process easy.
Steven M.
David Anthony Smith is a wonderful personal injury attorney. I (unfortunately) have needed to use him twice for car wreck injury cases, and in both cases he was communicative, kind, and thorough in answering my questions and making sure I felt heard. I'm grateful for his and the entire team's support during a tough time!
Peggy A.
I was on the verge of giving up on finding a lawyer in Tennessee to represent me in a civil case. Being wrongfully arrested, time in jail and the police admitted they were wrong I figured it'd be easy to find a lawyer with such an easy case. I was very sadly mistaken, my first lawyer sat on my case for eight months making me think it was being filed up until he gave me my file back and said he couldnt do it. After calling number after number for a couple of days getting receptionist, or a lawyer for a short while not hearing my story I finally talked to David Smith. After listening to the whole story and I mean fifteen minutes of information he listened to me about my whole case and said what I knew all along, I was wronged and it's the truth that I have to prove it. I'd refer David Smith over all the rest because he actually cares about the people he interacts with and doesn't treat you like a number, David is very easy to get ahold of and does what's right. Very hard to find an attorney that really does things that they are supposed to do to benefit the client. I give David five stars for professionalism, communication, and for being right to people and right for the job.
Jeremy
Working with Chris was an exceptional experience from start to finish. His professionalism, expertise, responsiveness, and genuine care went above and beyond during what was a very difficult and stressful period for me. Chris was incredibly thorough and thoughtful throughout the entire process. His skillful questioning, clear guidance, and strategic advice helped me understand my options and ultimately reach an agreeable resolution with the other party. I always felt that he was looking out for my best interests while also giving me honest, practical advice about the best path forward. Most importantly, I was able to focus on getting the treatment I needed, and I physically feel better than ever following my recovery. I’m incredibly grateful to Chris Smith and DRS Law for their guidance and support throughout this experience. I highly recommend Chris and will absolutely refer him to anyone I meet who needs an attorney in his area of expertise. Thank you so much, Chris!
Georgiana A.
David Randolph Smith’s professionalism is beyond reproach. He handled our lawsuit against an attorney that got us into a deal where we literally lost millions of dollars. Dealing with insurance companies offering malpractice insurance is a major challenge. All they want to do is minimize their losses. David did a great job negotiating with the insurance attorneys even though they threatened to drop their client altogether because they knew he was a terrible lawyer who didn’t respect his clients by never disclosing his bias. This unscrupulous attorney even built a huge fee into the original contract to enrich himself. David was able to get us the best settlement possible under the circumstances and never gave up. We recommend him to anyone who wants someone to represent them who is exceptionally smart and diligent as well as a great communicator. He looks at all the facts and makes sure his clients are his Number 1 Priority. Thank you, David, for making it all work! Howard & Universe Wimer Hendersonville, TN
